To celebrate our 4 years of marital bliss, Big Daddy Buck and I went wine tasting in Temecula.  We started our trip at Wilson Creek winery (home of the delicious Almond champagne) where we tasted wine and enjoyed a yummy lunch at their new Creekside Grill.  We then headed to Cougar winery, Frangiapani and Southcoast winery.  We ended our day at Churon, which is where we spent the night.  Thanks to the help of my mom and dad, we were bumped up to the Merlot Suite!  So gorgeous!  We wish we could have stayed longer!  Included in our stay was free wine and cheese hour as well as breakfast the following morning.  After breakfast we enjoyed one last tasting at La Cereza (delicious raspberry champagne and peach champagne) and then headed to Pechanga Casino.  Big Daddy Buck enjoyed a game of poker while Mama Buck enjoyed a massage at the Pechanga spa!  Here are some pics from our wonderful weekend:

While Mommy and Daddy where playing, Miss Lila bonded with Grammie and Papi.  Grammie and Miss Lila had a busy day of singing, playing in the exersaucer, pooping (Miss Lila, not Grammie) and walking downtown.  Papi and Miss Lila shared some stories.

Miss Lila also had some play time with her favorite cousin, Miss Chelsea!

Strange title, I know, but couldn’t think of anything else to tie in Lila’s first “real” food and our anniversary.  So work with me here…

Miss Lila had her 6 month pediatrician appointment today.  Her stats: 16 lbs 10.4 oz, 25 in long and head circum. of 17 cm.  We got the go-ahead to start her on solids.  We are beginning with veggies and then fruits.  The pediatrician said to go through the “oranges” and then the “greens”.  We decided to start with carrots.  Mama buck steamed and pureed the carrots ( I know, so domestic of me!).  Miss. Lila was not a fan of the food processor. 

The final verdict on carrots?  Not a fan… 

Today is also Big Daddy Buck’s and my 4th wedding anniversary!  I made a yummy (yes, yummy, if I do say so myself!) dinner!  We had salad, French bread, asparagus, filet mignon and champagne.  I also made champagne and raspberry creme brulee!  After 4 years, it’s about time I got this cooking thing down!

Happy Anniversary Mr. Buck!  Thank you for 4 WONDERFUL years! I love you more today, then ever before!

…..And oh does she ever!  This picture was taken after changing Lila from a major poop explosion!  This particular “poop” decided not to just stay inside the diaper, no, it was up her back, down one leg, on mommy’s hand and Miss Lila’s foot after she stuck it in her diaper!  What a mess!  I figured this onesie was appropriate:

To add to the day, Mama Buck is having painful nursing issues and has broken her baby toe.  Mama’s a mess from top to bottom!  Good thing we have Big Daddy Buck around to take care of us!

It may only be a fan club of…….1, but I must say I have one of the cutest fans out there!

Miss Lila and I hung out with Miss Chelsea while Auntie Alison went to work.  I quickly got my routine down: rock one baby, put her in her bouncey seat, rock the other baby, put her in her bouncey seat, rock first baby, put her in her bouncey seat, rock 2nd baby, put her in her bouncey seat…..this went on until both girls were napping peacefully:

This peace and quiet lasted about 45 minutes.  Then we were up for feedings and playtime.  Our cousins Madison and Kyle visited with Aunt Karen and Uncle Goober……I mean Ted.  I only have one picture of our visit, Kyle bonding with his newest cousin Chelsea:

The Buck Family joined Team Donovan and participated in the Relay For Life today.  Relay For Life is sponsored by the American Cancer Society.  All proceeds of things sold and donations made go straight to the cancer society.  The event took place at an elementary school in Redondo Beach.  Each team had tents set up with things to sell and lots of yummy food.  There was a silent auction, a band and games to play.  We had a nice time with our friends and enjoyed taking part in such an important event.  We walked in support of Team Donovan, in memory of our loved ones who have lost their fight with cancer and in honor of our loved ones who have fought and won their battle with cancer.  Here are some pictures from today:

Miss Lila and I had a playdate with Miss Chelsea and Auntie Alison.  Mama Buck got to experience what it would be like to have TWO babies, 4 months apart…….thank God that’s not physically possible!  The little darlings were good, they just decided to be fussy at the same time.  But we all got on the same page and the two little cousins decided to nap at the same time.  Here are some pictures from our visit:

We’ve been taking Miss Lila in the pool in the hopes to turn her into a future Olympic swimmer.  We’ve “swam” a couple times in our condo’s pool with our Mommy and Me buddies and one time at Grammie and Papi’s.  I think the water temperature might be a bit too cold for Miss Lila.  We expected her to kick and splash like she does in the bath tub, but instead she holds tight to mommy and daddy and sucks her thumb.  We’ll get her acclimated to the temperature soon enough and then she’ll be swimming circles around us!  Here are some pictures of our “Little Mermaid”.

Where does the time go???  Miss Lila turned 5 months old on July 1st.  That night, we went to dinner to celebrate Papi’s 61st birthday.  I think Papi had a great time celebrating with his “girls”.  Both Miss Lila and Miss Chelsea made it out for the night. 

On July 2nd we drove up to San Luis Obispo to visit with our friends Ryan and Jill.  Big Daddy Buck and Ryan, Lila’s boyfriend, played golf on the 3rd.  Miss Lila was ready to cheer on her daddy!

On Friday, when Big Daddy Buck and Boyfriend Ryan played golf, Miss Lila and Mommy strolled around downtown San Luis Obispo.  We had a fun girls day out!

On Friday night we joined our friends for Concerts in the Park.  We ate on the patio of the Native Lounge and enjoyed some delicious food!  Mama Buck was able to enjoy some delicious wine as well – while “hooter-hiding” it!
