HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
We celebrated Miss Lila’s first Halloween trick or treating down at Riviera Village in Redondo beach. They blocked off the streets and all of the shops and restaurants passed out candy. We were sure to hit up the places that were handing out the good stuff (chocolate!!!). Our Mermaid Princess met up with her little friends, Princess Monkeypants, Princess Aurora and Tinkerbell. We even bumped in to the Octomom!

After a fun time trick or treating, we were able to Skype with Mimi, Miss Lila’s Great Grandma. Mimi was dressed up as a witch! We had a great time chatting with her.

Pumpkins and Mermaids
The holidays are here and they are so much fun with a little one!!! On Saturday, we took Miss Lila to a pumpkin patch. There was a petting zoo, pony rides, bounce houses and lots of great pumpkins! Here are some pics from the fun trip to the patch:

Big Daddy Buck carved a great jack-o-lantern! And Miss Lila and I helped…..

Today we met up with Auntie Alison, Cousin Chelsea and our mom’s group in Manhattan Beach for some halloween festivities:

We had such a great day!! I am going to end our post with how our day began. Miss Lila and I joined Grammie and Papi in a very special event. We walked in the Walk for Hope breast cancer walk at City of Hope. Over 9,000 people participated in this powerful event. We walked for hope, for a cure and for our loved ones.

So many memories…
. . . came flooding back to both Big Daddy Buck and myself as we drove up Marian Way onto the USD campus. We took Miss Lila down to San Diego this past weekend for Homecoming. The beauty of the campus always amazes me. We were in awe of the new buildings that always seem to pop up between visits. The new one for us this year, the Student Life Pavilion. Wow! Brand new cafeteria, mini-grocery store with deli and coffee bar, a computer lab, a lounge with pool tables and a mini-snack bar and every room equipped with multiple flat screens. Big Daddy was very envious. Mama Buck was adding up the dollar signs and trying to figure out how we can send Miss Lila here in 18 years. We arrived in time for lunch at the tailgate picnic, did some shopping in the bookstore and watched USD lose to the Drake Bulldogs (despite being cheered on by the cutest Torero cheerleader – checkout the pics below!)

Exhausted from all of that cheering!!!
After the game, we went to Auntie Sam’s for a yummy dinner! No picture were taken because we were too busy chowing down on her delicious bacon wrapped steak, salad, corn, ice cream and oatmeal cookies!!! On Sundy we visited our good friend Michelle at UCSD where she is a freshman. I used to babysit Michelle. Started when she was in the 2nd grade! Can’t believe she is in college already.

It’s been a while….
…since we’ve blogged! Mama Buck’s computer is still at the computer hospital. I must say, for being “Geeks” they really don’t seem to know what they are doing!!! Being back at work leaves me little time to play on the computer. I’d much rather spend my time with Miss Lila, with Chris or sleep. By the time I do get online, my brain can’t form a coherent sentence so blogging is out of the question. My idea for tonight’s blog: blog it with pictures!
Here is the past few weeks of the Bucks:

Mama’s Adjusting…
…to her new role as Mommy/teacher/wife. It’s a good thing women are good at multi-tasking! Last week was Mama Buck’s first week back at work. After crying to Big Daddy Buck “I don’t want to o back! I want to stay home!”, I survived and am slowly adjusting to being away from Miss Lila. We were lucky to have 7 months together and I look forward to the summer when I can play stay-at-home mom again! Only 37 weeks to go!!
My computer is at the computer hospital…again! I am blogging from Daddy Buck’s computer (shhh, don’t tell Raytheon!). When my computer returns and I have my picture files handy, I’ll post a nice long post catching everyone up on the Bucks. Until then, I’m off to bed. 24 first graders are exhausting!

The Happiest Place on Earth
Big Daddy logging on……thought I would tell you about Lila’s first trip to Disneyland. While Lila coudn’t really enjoy Disneyland yet, I think her mother enjoyed it enough for the both of them.

The lines were not long because school is back in session (for most). We could only take her on one ride because after she went on Space Mountain even her shadow scared her (just kidding we took her on It’s a Small World). She liked looking at all the moving parts and was facinated by the changing colors.

Miss Lila auditioned/interviewed for a job as a Princess. The interview process was very grueling. She had three seperate interviews with 3 princesses. Naturally, she nailed it. After the interviews were over and the contract negotiations had started, Lila wanted to sleep on it before she inked the deal. Big Daddy was ready to sleep too. The heat was too much. All in all, it was a great family outing!
